About Us
My husband Joe and I have been married for 22 years. We have 3 wonderful children that are quickly growing up to be some pretty cool people. We are so proud of all of their accomplishments thus far, and looking forward to what the future holds for each of them.
Joe and Sara are country girl meets village boy. Sara has grown up on a hobby farm with horses, cows, dogs, cats, chickens, goats and has always had a love and passion for animals and the outdoors. Joe grew up in a small rural village and also shares the passion for the outdoors, including fishing, baseball, football and golf. He wasn't much for animals when we were first married, but once he left his "tough guy" guard down, the horses and dogs found that squishy, soft guy inside. Now he is my right-hand man and enjoys helping out and is the construction guy behind our set-up for our dogs. He is always thinking of ways to make things more comfortable for them.
Joe and I have always dreamed of having our own at-home business, doing something that we enjoy together. We live on a cozy country property that we enjoy with our dogs. I chose to take a break from owning horses for now, while our children are keeping us so active with their activities, visiting college campus and collegiate golf competitions. (Update: I just purchased my dream heart-horse in June of 2021, since we are now Empty-Nesters...... Happy to be back in the saddle again!!) Raising Golden Retrievers, and being in their presence, brings such joy, fun and laughter to our home. We are excited to share our love of this breed with so many others and bring that same enjoyment into other family homes.
